Samsung Galaxy S5 at Rs 51,500 for Indian Customers

After a month’s wait today Samsung had launched it’s new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, in the Indian market at a price of Rs 51,500. In the launching event last month, Samsung had announced that phone would be costing between Rs 51,000 and Rs 53,000.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Launched In India For Rs 51,000 +

Most anxious moments are over for Indian customers, as the mobile giant, Samsung company had launched flagship smartphone Galaxy S5 at a glitzy event in New Delhi.

In the even the company has announced that the new Galaxy S5 can be pre-booked starting from today but at some selected authorized shops and on the company's official eStore for ?1,500. At the same time, the company has not announced the final price of the device, but it’s expected that the price rage will be between from 51,000 to 53,000, some media reports said.

Samsung Announced Galaxy S5 India Launch on March 27

After Galaxy S5’s success full announcement made on MWC 2014, today Samsung has officially sent out invites for the lunching event of on Galaxy S5 in India on Thursday.


Now Samsung is all set to lunch it’s most awaiting Galaxy S5 in India on 27 March. As of now, there is no word whether the Samsung Gear 2, Gear Neo and Gear Fit will also be launched in India on the same day.

Samsung Unveils Latest Flagship Galaxy S5 in MWC

After lots of rumors moving around, on Monday finally Samsung announced its latest flagship phone called as Samsung Galaxy S5. It’s the latest phone by the company with many news features added like finger-print scanner or the waterproof body. In the event, company’s executives said that the company wanted to enhance core features that improve everyday use, like photo-taking, battery life, download speeds and protection against water and dust.

Here are so of the most attractive features of the latest flagship phone:


1) Samsung Galaxy S5 is having 5.1-inch full HD screen with the same Super AMOLED panel.

2) The Galaxy S5 has a 16MP camera on the rear with a heart-rate monitor just below it and 2MP front camera. Also features such as improved HDR and selective focus mode.

3) New feature added in home button, as home button also functions as a finger-print reader.

4) Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with fifth generation 802.11ac WiFi and it uses LTE Category 4 standard. A very new feature called Download Booster allows you to bond the WiFi and LTE connections simultaneously to improve download speeds.

5) The new Samsung Galaxy S5 comes in the 16GB and 32GB variant with microSD slot for adding in a microSD card upto 64GB. It packs in a 2800mAh batter which gives talk time of 21 hrs.

6) A very new feature called Ultra Power Saving mode, which claims to give you a 24-hour battery even when your phone shows the battery capacity at 10 per cent.

7) The Galaxy S5 is IP67 dust and water resistant.

Most special feature of Galaxy S5 is the Finger scanner which protects locked phones and is used to make mobile payments. Able to captures ultra-HD video.

Report: Samsung Galaxy S5 Spotted on AnTuTu Benchmarks

We all are waiting anticipatory for Samsung’s next latest flagship smartphone. According to some of the popular news, the Galaxy S5, is expected to debut on February 24 at Barcelona, a new report has seemingly revealed two variants of the device.

Recently, according to Sammobile it’s been claimed that Galaxy S5 had been spotted on AnTuTu benchmarks in two variants: SM-G900H and SM-G900R4.There was repot earlier that the South Korean manufacture may unveil the two version of the alleged Galaxy S5: a metal variant which and a plastic variant.

In the news, it have claims that Samsung might lunch two different version devices like Apple and release two different models (like the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c) of its Samsung Galaxy S5 targeted at different price segments.

Some of the features of SM-G900R4 model of the Galaxy S5 comes with a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AC) processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM, QHD display (1440x2560) and 32GB inbuilt storage. It may sport with 16 megapixel rear camera alongside a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It’s expected that the new flagship device will be running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The secondary, alleged SM-G900H Galaxy S5 variant device comes with an identical camera sensor and software as seen on the SM-G900R4 model. It’s expected that the device with a 1.5GHz Samsung Exynos 5422 processor, ARM Mali-T628 GPU, 2GB of RAM, a full-HD display, and 16GB inbuilt storage. It reportedly scores 35,445 on AnTuTu benchmarks.

Earlier, it was report that, Samsung had not planned to unveil the latest Galaxy S5 in MWC 2014 on February 24 in Barcelona.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Features Leaked: Rumor

From many days rumors of Samsung Galaxy S5 are rolling out continuously. Some days, before there where report claiming that the new Galaxy S5 might be having fingerprint sensor same as Apple iPhone 5s' fingerprint sensor. Today, one more feature was disclosed, that the anticipated Galaxy S5 smartphone may include the eye-scanning feature.

First rumor was the new device include a 16-Megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM and a 4,000MaH battery, alongside talk the phone will be available in two versions - metal version and plastic version. Along with 2K AMOLED display and a completely re-worked chassis and TouchWiz UI.

However, some more rumor specifications alleged Galaxy S5, which include a 2K display boasting a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels (QHD); 2900mAh battery, and an eye-scanning sensor. In the International Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas earlier this month, Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of Samsung's mobile business, said there is much consumer interest in iris recognition technology.

"We are studying the possibility but can’t really say whether we will have it or not on the S5," he said.

Samsung May Launch Galaxy S5 by April with Eye Scanner

The recent rumor, states that Samsung is planning to release its Galaxy S5 smartphone by April and studies are going on to add eye scanner technology for the first time, as it readies the high-end handset to compete with Apple's iPhones.

According to Lee Young Hee - executive vice-president of Samsung's mobile business section said that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be paired with Galaxy Gear smart watch a new evolution in mobile world. As Samsung is planning to launch both the new products together, as it will also boosts tablet market, as it also boosts marketing of tablets.

Recently only, Lee said "We've been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time, When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved."

However, Samsung is always in a hurry to launch new features and models to compete off Apple in the high-end market and Chinese makers luring budget customers with handsets for $100. Experts expect that this year the South Korean tech giant will however announce at least one other wearable device. Meanwhile in October, Samsung had registered a design in South Korea for glasses that can show information from a smartphone and enable users to take calls also.

Samsung Exec Confirms: Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date at MWC 2014

After some continuous rumors, today Samsung's executive conformed that the most awaiting Samsung Galaxy S5 release would take place at the Mobile World Congress next month.

Recently, Dong-hoon Chang, EVP and Head of Design Team for the company's IT & Mobile Communications division, and Head of Design Strategy Team at Samsung Electronics' Corporate Design Center, confirmed the rumors and added in Korean web site named as - inews24, that Samsung will unveil its flagship phone at the said event with a "new material" in tow.

According to Mr Chang, the company is trying to add new features. He also comments on popular rumor that Galaxy S5 features, including flexible display technology. As he says, the company is "currently under review" and he did not confirm whether the feature will make it to the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date. Just some days before, there was reports that both Samsung and LG may not be able to release a flagshape phone with flexible display early this year as the technology is still being developed. But at the same time, companies may release version packed with curved flexible display later this year.

However, Mobile World Congress 2014 will be held on Feb 24 in Barcelona. It’s expected that the company will hold a separate launch for the handset before the tech event just like what it had while introducing previous Samsung Galaxy S devices.

Samsung Galaxy S5 May Unveil at Mobile World Congress 2014 [RUMOR]

Recently, there were rumors claims that the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 may be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event of 2014 which is going too held on Feb 24 to 27.

Samsung Galaxy S5 May Feature 16MP Camera

After the continues rumor, Samsung is planning to launch the new Galaxy Note III along with Galaxy Gear smartwatch in the coming weeks. Today some new leaks had released for Galaxy S5 smartphone. The speculations have already started for next generation flagship smartphone Galaxy S5.

According to South Korean company’s website, the company is reportedly upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a 16 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilisation technology (OIS). Actually, the upcoming device will be upgrade of Galaxy S4 and upcoming Galaxy Note III.


However, presently only Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom comes with a 16-megapixel camera with a zoom lens. In the website report, it’s also mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy Note III’s camera will not have OIS technology even though Samsung initially wanted to launch the device with the feature.

At last, Samsung is planning to come up with metal-bodied design, which is rumoured to debut with the Galaxy S5. However, handset will be flexible and shatterproof screen, which was showcased by the manufacturer earlier this year.

Currently in market, there are Nokia Lumia 1020, Lumia 925, Lumia 920, HTC One and LG G2 are only phones that have optical image stabilization feature. We can expect, Samsung’s Galaxy S5 to debut in early 2014. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note III and the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch at IFA in Berlin on 4 September.
